Worked on Ben much of today. When I wasn’t getting distracted, oops.
Anyway. I got my theme and my logline and my character arc pretty well, and I stomped out a messy and odorous but DONE blurb. Generally I don’t do them all in one day, so I’ll call that the beginnings of success.
One very difficult thing will be making it all make more sense. The MS that became the first two books was my kitchen sink plot–I threw everything in there, including the sink. Now I’m having to take out what doesn’t need to be there. Problem is, lots of that isn’t needed in this book, but is referenced in later ones because that’s how I work…
Ahh well. I shall figure it out. And it will be awesome. But right now I gotta go to bed.
