Great and Not-So-Good

Start with the bad news. My dog is not feeling well. I’ve cleaned up several–incidents–already. And he wants to sit on me–not a good time for that–and be with me and be close to me and get stepped on by me…

I’ve cleaned up two Hope incidents too, and I had to pick her up from school today. She was feeling so icky when I sent her to bed when we got home–she went. And fell asleep, too.

Finally I received a package I ordered over a month ago–one thing missing, one thing wrong, one thing right, and one thing broken. Aargh.

For the second night in a row I cooked dinner. And I forgot how long the tilapia had been in the freezer. I only had three fillets of it, so I tossed in a flounder fillet to complete the recipe (fish is fish, right?) Fortunately Hope told me her fish “tasted like the zoo smells” (ewww!!!) and I made her some mac and cheese. (I had taken the flounder fillet, as it was bigger and I was hungry.) So now I gotta figure out something for tomorrow’s lunch, as the plan was leftovers.

But on the other hand–Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained reached 5,000 visits today!! Whoohooo! And I got a review–that’s over 40 for that story, which is a lot!–grumbling at me for keeping someone up till 2:30 reading when she had to get up in the morning. Though she did say it was worth it. ::mile-wide grin::

And the really big news? My manuscript, that the postman told me would take nine to eleven days to be delivered–was signed for this morning.

Yay!!
