I opened my phone bill today. It’s the first since starting on the internet. I shreiked! $112 in unexpected charges! The only thing I can figure is my husband didn’t read some fine print somewhere. So we had a talk, he and I, about what free really means. As in “join for free.” Ha!
For any other rookies out there, “free” is what they use to haul you in. Now, sites like this, monetarily really are free. I get self-expression, they get hopefully interesting content, and they get paid by the advertisers at the top of my page. Win-win-win. Same thing with the gear on my homepages and here. I get the gear, they get whatever “publicity” from people who see my gear. Works for everyone. But you better believe I read the fine print before taking the gear! I may be a WebRookie, but I wasn’t born yesterday.
Then there are those who have had me to take care of them for too long… Let me give you a clue, if you’re like him. Women don’t strip for free. Some do it for love, some do it for money, but it’s not blinking likely some woman is out there broadcasting it just for the joy of taking off her clothes. Why would she, when she could get paid to do what she loves?
