REMEMBER

If you remember nothing else I’ve ever said or ever will say, please remember this:

Depression lies.

Depression will tell you no one cares. It will tell you everyone would be better off without you. It will tell you it’s never going to end, it will never get better.

Depression lies.

Depression is a big fat lying liar who lies, and if you remember nothing else when you are going through that dark tunnel, please remember that depression lies and you are loved, even if you can’t feel it. It’s there. You matter. The darkness will end. Flip depression the bird and keep surviving, please.

Now pardon me while I go cry my eyes out over the loss of the brilliant and loving, talented and troubled Mr. Robin Williams.

    1. I know. I was aware of his struggles when he was younger, but I’d hoped he’d overcome it. 🙁

ETA: I meant, I hoped he’d survived it as one does other dangerous diseases, not that I think he was weak, which is kind of what my comment sounds like (at least to me.)
