My Feet Hurt

First, we went to the bank.  Miss Hope in her pretty hat with her (huge) purse and her KidSafe ID card was permitted just this once to withdraw $20 from her savings account.  Then we went to WalMart, home of the best cheap pet food in bags big enough I don’t have to buy it every week.

Then silly mommy let her go into the dollar store.  She had $3 left when we came out.

And we still had to buy groceries.

Two hours later…I hate grocery shopping.  Even with a list.  I forget to put things on the list, I decide to skip things then decide I better get it and have to go back, I don’t know where everything is…

I guess it makes sense that honey is with the jelly.  It makes more sense to me that it would go with the syrup or the sweeteners, but–okay.  Jelly.  I’ll try to remember.

This learning to cook healthy food is a lot harder than it looks.  Even with my Menu Mailer (savingdinner.com, go check it out) I’m still having a hard time.  Without the lists and the recipes, I would be sunk.

But I do have them.  So I went to the doctor Friday and discovered I’ve lost 8 pounds in two months.  I have a fridge full of healthy foods, and the know-how to make edibles from them.  I’m using more of my kitchen than the microwave, and together Hope and I will discover exactly what bok choy is and what the heck you’re supposed to do with it.

My feet hurt.  But I’m satisfied.

Wish I’d bought something healthy and pre-made for tonight, though.
