I got the 100th day report in the mail, finally. I told my friend I had finally beaten Excel into submission, but really I just went around the problem. It was something in the pasting, screwing up the formatting. And I couldn’t find how to make it show me what it was doing.
For future reference, in times of desperation copy and paste everything but the date, and type that in.
Yes, I needed to put in exactly what I did. More than once I have gone and searched my own blog for how I dealt with a problem. Like when I moved my office out here, and couldn’t get the computer to acknowledge the existence of a printer. The first time I hooked it up, I had that problem, and I remembered complaining of it in my blog. So I searched “printer.” And discovered that I’d “solved the problem with the third simple thing I tried” with no mention of what that was…sigh.
Gotta love the “search” function…no wonder I write everything down here. which reminds me. Mentioned Excel and 100th day, better mention e-w register too, for future searching…
