OMFG DISNEY!!

OMFG DISNEY!!

So after the Journey Through Hell (see my Twitter account and possibly this page at a later date–short form, No, I didn’t kill anyone I don’t know where ANY of those people that I didn’t really actually threaten are, but I’m sure they’re fine.)

Ahem. DISNEY ZOMG! Got here yesterday, a day late. They actually moved our reservations so we didn’t lose a day! And everyone has been super awesome. You can tell they are dedicated to making this vacation–well, they say magical, and they mean it!

I’m so sore. We trekked all over the Magic Kingdom yesterday. I told the kid today we need to be a little more focused. She led from Tomorrowland to Frontierland to Fantasyland to Frontierland to Adventureland to Tomorrowland–yeah. We’ll take it a bit easier today, or we won’t last the week!

SO MUCH FUN. And so awesome. The attention to detail is marvelous. DO NOT MISS the Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain–man, too many to list.

We got to the park around three and it started raining shortly thereafter. I knew it might happen, and the lady in the jewelry store we ducked into said the storms usually don’t last, so we stuck it out. SO GLAD we did! The heavy rain lasted maybe an hour. It kept sprinkling after that but–the lines were gone. We rode every ride with practically no waiting! Yeah, we were soaked, but it’s Florida. We were only cold when we went into AC places.

I couldn’t possibly say enough about the kindness of the employees, so I won’t try. But they gave us “First Visit” buttons to wear, and I’ve had many employees wish me a happy first visit, and if they have time (if I’m not running by them because there’s no line for them to guide) they ask how it’s going and if I need anything.

TL;DR–I thought it was just an amusement park but it’s not. I can’t recommend this highly enough OMG HAVING SO MUCH FUN.

Today: Epcot. If I can get my happily-exhausted girls out of bed!

  1. Florida is THE BEST. I love how humid it is; I was actually in heaven there.

Also, you totally have to do the… Spaceship Earth(?) ride at Epcot if it’s still around – it’s the one with Judi Dench narrating. Preferably with someone else. Well, what happens at the conclusion of it may not amuse you as highly as it amused me, but it should be fairly fun. 😉

    1. oh THANK YOU. It was driving me up the wall, knowing that voice and not able to put a name to it. 🙂

Yes, it was great. Hope made a face, so hers was hysterical. 😀

    2. What, Judi Dench narrates Spaceship Earth now? That was totally not true the last time I was there, which was, admittedly, over a decade ago.

KD–EPCOT IS MY FAVORITE. DO EVERYTHING BUT DO NOT EAT AT NORWAY. Although it’s possible the food has improved. And if they still have the Indiana Jones thing at MGM, totally do that too. And Disaster Canyon!

      1. Epcot is so amazing! We’re going back for a second day, though I barely got Kate out of France the first time.

  2. Spaceship Earth is awesome. I also can’t recommend enough: Mission Space. There’s usually a ridiculously long line, but it is so much fun. (and when I was a 9-year-old girl jumping up and down babbling about how awesome it was while leaving, a random cast member heard me and gave me a free fast-pass-good-for-four-people ticket, so I could jump right back on. So.)
