Onward!

That’s my battle cry. Nothing gets done by standing around whining about the need to do it. So I’m pushing onward. I’ve edited 7 of 33 chapters of Donte’s story. I’m pretty happy with it so far, though it’s hard to drag myself back to it, when Rafe and Taro are in my head, clamoring to get out.

I’ve got the plot for those scamps, and about six pages of story, eight of notes. Just because I have to worry about something, I’ve been trying to think how to throw some new characters into the mix. Minor in this book, of course, but there for pick-up in the next. The next one I have in my head is a good five years down the road in milieu-time, and I don’t want to skip over that much.

But when I’m done with Taro and Rafe, if no one else is calling me, and if I haven’t fixed Eve yet, that will be a major undertaking. So I really have nothing to worry about. Except finishing editing two books, and writing a third, while working full-time, raising a small child alone, and taking care of all these damn animals.

I need to hire a secretary/nanny/chauffeur/cook/keeper/masseuse. Who will get a great salary, just as soon as I get published. Send resumes care of…
