*snarl*

I’m generally considered a nice person. Really. I’m too easy on kids at work, in the opinion of many.

But right now I’m really wanting to strangle a couple.

I could be NaNoing. I could be editing and sorting and captioning and posting Huggsley’s Adventures at Yaoi-Con. I could be washing dishes, or cleaning my room, or even asleep. But what am I doing?

I’m cleaning chocolate out of a brand-new cell phone, hoping to God it works when I’m done.

The kid had her phone stolen from her backpack last week at school. No surprise, since apparently she kept it in that little easy-to-see-and-reach mesh pocket on the side, and she’d shown her bright shiny phone to everyone.

A young lady came to me asking if there was a reward for the phone, since she “found” it. After a talk with the assistant principal, she decided she’d just bring it back.

Somehow or other the story became that she found it in the garbage with chocolate on it and didn’t bring it back because she thought it was useless (yet she plucked it out of the garbage).

Also except that I’ve spent the last three hours trying to clean enough chocolate out of the tracks keeping the back on so that I could get the back off to clean it better.

Either it was dropped in a vat of melted chocolate, or someone opened the back and smeared chocolate in there.

My child says the girl who sat next to her, who kept snatching her phone that day, is not the person who brought it back. The two girls are friends, but the girl who brought it back had no opportunity to grab the phone that day.

I wanna breaky some fingers.

  1. 😯 chocolate in a phone, that’s just evil. Once cleaned up, and recharged, it should be fine if its just chocolate. Although getting /all/ the chocolate is far from easy. I vote you dunk the perpetrator in a vat of chocolate in a Willy Wonka justice type way. >_>

*gives you free reign over my menagerie of animals do give out punishments as necessary. 😈
