Eleven Days into April

And the struggle goes on. I am halfway through those last fifty pages if you look at the pagecount. Where I am in reality…gah.

I am trying to edit the very first Hiro scene I ever wrote, way back before he was Hiro. I’ve found a place to fit it into the manuscript (where it’s needed–I was resigned to leaving it out entirely), but it has to change a lot first. I’m not normally one to wibble about pruning my Deathless Proseâ„¢, but…well, this was a really awesome bit of smut, and even knowing that I’ll still have the original and that rewriting it means I’ll have two wonderful bits of smut, I’m having to fight an uphill battle to get it done.

Another problem is that it’s been really stressful at work. When I come home I have little energy for major revisions, and at this point in the MS, that’s where I am.

So, seeing as it’s Sunday afternoon and I only have seven hours (at most) till I have to be somewhere…I guess I better get to work, eh?

  1. (I tried to correct my (apparently) fake html tags in my original comment, but the replacement hasn’t shown up, although I’ve already tried a couple of times. I hope this doesn’t end up posted a dozen times. >_> )

*hugs* for the work stress. I hope it goes away soon.

The shower scene is going to fit into the book? Huzzah! And it’s being rewritten? Well, I’m sure it will be just as good even better! (What can I say, I’m also attached to the original version of that scene.)

(And I’ll still know where the original is posted? Yeehaw! Because I love that scene.)

    *hug*

    1. (don’t worry, I won’t let it post too much. XD )

Yes, I’ll be leaving the original where it is. The rewrite will be tamer, alas, though hopefully just as dramatic.

    1. hee…on my LJ. I think it’s tagged “smut.” It’s probably titled “Hiro Smut” as it’s the first smut I wrote with him.
