Yes, you have to fill out the damn paperwork every year. Because sometimes things change. Fine, if absolutely nothing has changed, you go ahead and give me a copy of last year’s registration form and just sign and date it again.
Hell, no, I won’t go and get it and make a copy for you.
And damn it, it is not ‘ego.’ If while ‘helping’ you do not check the names against the list, it makes my work later a thousand times harder, so I’d REALLY prefer to do it myself now. Besides, I’m not the one slowing the line down, or I wouldn’t have to keep yelling “can I help who’s next please?!?”
Stop trying to do my job and let them come to me so I can do it right. You’re still paying me even when you do it (wrong) for me, you know.
