Hope has touched a rhinoceros, a ball python, and several tortoises. She has ridden a camel, an elephant, and a llama, as well as the more pedestrian, but lovely, ponies. I have pictures of her with a tiger on two separate occasions. She has fed giraffes and been bitten by a zebra.
I remind myself of these facts when I don’t want to chase down the ice cream truck to spend two dollars on some crummy treat.
