In Lieu of Actual Thought

This is an interesting article about a Daily Show I should have (and will) watch.

He soon grows frustrated trying to explain his ideas in words. He admits he can no longer write straight text; he writes in hypertext, highlighting key words and making links to Web pages about them. That way he doesn’t get bogged down in details and can keep bouncing ahead. Some observers have accused him of having Attention Deficit Disorder, or simply of being a geek, but he’s neither. His mind just works this way.

The above is from a fascinating article on the creator of the World Wide Web. (no, it wasn’t Al Gore. No, he never actually said that. Get with the program, people.)

These pictures of decay are both spooky and awesome.

Talk about a query of FAIL–this is just disturbing.

A thoughtful article about returns in publishing.

The stupidity goes on.

‘kay. Now that I’ve spread the love, perhaps I can close those tabs and get back to my synopsis.

*returns to this tab much later to discover she never posted* Err…oops?

*realizes, after editing to add, and clicking, that she had posted* yeah…maybe I shouldn’t touch that synopsis yet.

  1. I live about 2 hours from Detroit and my mom has never taken me there. That is how sad it has become. There is so much history and so much to be proud of from that ONE town, it just seems to have gone by the wayside though… 🙁
