It’s not really that I think Orlando Bloom is so adorable. It was just a really good picture of Legolas.
That’s why I left my LOTR desk calendar on that day for nearly a week.
Did I mention Mr. Bloom was my original model for Rafe Ballard in books three, four, and at least two others? So he’s also my reminder that I will not be stuck in–as Thomas puts it–termite-dom forever.
And the wall calendar is a tool. Today a seventh grader came in for something, and gasped and almost fell over when she saw the April picture. Now we have a connection, and she’ll try harder on her attendance. Not only that, but a couple of co-workers planned an unveiling for Monday’s new picture–so it’s a team-builder.
