What the Fuck?

yeah, I’m normally more restrained than that.  What can I say, someone needs to do some swearing.

I bought the Guns’n’Roses Live Era double CD.  Now, anyone who knows GNR has to be aware that Axl Rose swears about every third word.  Though I don’t prefer my music with foul language, when it’s GNR I accept it.  Axl is effing brilliant, and I’m not going to let some scary words chase me from his music.

One would hope that anyone picking up a GNR CD would know what they were getting into.  And if not, there’s that sticker, right?  That one that I’ve kept with every GNR tape, CD or whatever I’ve bought, the one that warns of explicit lyrics ’cause damn it, that’s how Axl sings.

Except, on this one, I didn’t get the sticker.  (okay, I bought it off Amazon.)  But it says, right next to the CD title “Explicit Lyrics.”  It does.  I checked the order.

So why the fuck is my CD censored????  Not only are several of the f-bombs muted or blurred or whatever they do, on Used to Love Her you can barely tell he’s saying “kill!”  On You Could Be Mine, the word “cocaine” is blurred!  What the fucking hell??

This, people, is GUNS ‘N’ ROSES.  The CD liner has copies of playbills from when they were playing clubs, and the shows have names like “Drunk Fux” and “Fresh from Detox.”

For the love of all that’s art, it’s Guns ‘n’ Roses!!  How the hell can you censor GUNS ‘N’ ROSES!!??!!!

Who do I bitch-slap?
