If I were held for three years with no lawyer, no charges, no trial, and no hope, I’d be doing just about anything to get media attention myself.

Is it me, or is Rumsfeld trying to make it sound like these are just children holding their breath to get candy in the checkout aisle?

Before you start about how “they’re terrorists, they deserve it,” remind yourself they have not been tried. They have not even been charged. Are we Americans or not?
