Hell is when your kid is in pain and you can’t do a damn thing. Just an earache (just?), nothing too horrible. If you don’t count spending three hours cuddling a crying 8-year-old in a twin bed in the middle of the night. Yeah, I was worth a heck of a lot at work today.

Desperation drove me to heinous acts today. Yes, I went to work, unpaid, on a Saturday. And in four hours accomplished things I’ve been trying to do since the beginning of school. Gee, wonder what made the difference? (Hint: “KD, do you have a second?”) I’ve got to find a way to get more done
