To all the kind people who know that the person answering the phone is pretty much never the one who had the authority to mess up your life in whatever way it has been messed up of late–thanks.
I’m sorry it happened, and I’m so grateful you know I’m not the one who did it (nor the one who can fix it) and that you consider that in your interaction with me.
To those who don’t know this–uhh, the person answering the phone is pretty much always low person on the ladder of success, and probably hates whatever happened as much as you do. Not least because they are the ones who get to apologize without the “fun” of screwing up.
