Umm, actually…it was the Search Engine Friendly URLs I’d selected in Global Configuration. All is well now, yay!!
So…spent a good bit of time fighting with that.

Played with my own Joomla! site tonight until my front page disappeared for reasons unknown and I decided I really needed to go to bed.
