On another note–I had some thoughts and I lost them. What am I doing lately? Editing Fidelis. Well, actual editing hasn’t begun yet. I’m working on the poky bits. Theme. Character arc. Story blurb.
Every time I go through One-Pass Revision, I seem to be doing it a little better. That’s only natural, right? This time I’m kinda stuck because of it.
In the past I’ve done the One-Pass, come out with something light years better than what I had, and been satisfied. Till I went back a few months later and went, “oh, wait. I didn’t have the theme quite right.” And then I’d try again. This time I struggled with the blurb for three days, trying to make it line up with the theme, and couldn’t. Finally I came to the conclusion that my theme was wrong.
Does this mean I’ll finally manage to do One-Pass in one pass? Terrifying idea…but maybe.
I’ll let you know. In the meantime, whatever you celebrate, I wish you joy. Or as I’ve heard it said–Happy Non-Denominational Gift-Giving Day.
