Appeasement

Yeah, this re-write is kicking my butt.  (I’m kicking back, yes, but it’s taking a lot out of me.  Such as the energy to blog.)

So.  Some cool stuff.  (hey, random surfing takes a lot less energy and thought than blogging, ‘kay?)

Use the Force, dude!  The Force Trainer (expected to be priced at $90 to $100) comes with a headset that uses brain waves to allow players to manipulate a sphere within a clear 10-inch-tall training tower, analogous to Yoda and Luke Skywalker’s abilities in the Star Wars films.

Whee!

Interesting article about why we should just stay home.  Probes have always offered the advantage of lower cost and minimal risk. For interstellar travel, their smaller size makes them especially practical. For the same energy bill, you could propel a one-ton reconnaissance craft to another star in one-tenth the time of sending even a small clutch of humans. (please note, this doesn’t sound like much fun to ME, but…it’s interesting.)

And this pic I found flat-out inspiring, though I don’t know what it has inspired yet.

Oh, and one more thing–yes, Publishers Clearinghouse is a whole lot of hype, but I noticed they have an incredible deal on Smithsonian magazine.  Which, if you don’t know you should find out for yourself, is one fascinating magazine.
