On a Roll

1045 words tonight, yay!!  It’s going, it’s going, it’s finally going!

I’ll tell you, though, I have a serious love/hate relationship with this book.  I love these characters.  I adore them, I want to party with them (and I don’t ever want to party with anyone).  They surprise me, they excite me, and damn it, they’re great fun to be around.  But…

I’ve mentioned before it doesn’t end well.  Every twist of the plot leads a step closer to that inevitable conclusion, and I can see the strings tighten, the shape of it forming…and I want to stop writing.  Just a little epilogue, “Sorry, guys, the rest of this book will be in summary form, if I can even bring myself to write that” and I’ll be done.

But I can’t.  I can’t do that to Keen and Luc.  Their story needs to be told, and this story is integral to the master plot of the entire series.  I have to write it.

I just don’t wanna.
